The latest laser treatment for skin rejuvenation and pigment reduction
Everybody knows that “Hey, you look a little tired” pretty much translates to a polite observation of your dark eye circles and dull skin.
Having heard that line twice in a single week, I thought I’d better give my poor skin a quick fix.
Enter, the new Enlighten Picosecond Laser, said to be an effective laser treatment that not only helps to brighten skin through lightening stubborn pigmentation, but also removes tattoos.
Picosecond (one trillionth of a second) laser pulses, which are one thousand times shorter than the nanosecond pulses used by conventional lasers, offer a vast improvement in the treatment of stubborn pigmentation and tattoo removal.
They work by deliveing energy from the laser beam into the skin in a much shorter time than conventional lasers. This leads to faster and more effective breakdown of the pigment or tattoo ink particles.
Tried-and-tested: “Since I’ve got no tattoos to remove, the Enlighten Picosecond Laser was employed to rejuvenate my skin.
The hand piece hovered inches away from my cleansed skin, zapping away lightly to treat any uneven skin tone and brighten dullness resulting from sun exposure. There was a slight tingling sensation that felt pretty comfortable throughout.
Following that, Dual Yellow Laser was used to reduce redness and treat pigmentation, so the skin appears lightened and more radiant. Dr Ram of The Wellness Clinic concentrated on my under eye area, so as to lighten my dark circles.
Finally, an anti-inflammatory Charcoal Mask was applied to deep cleanse, purify and soothe my skin following the laser treatment, while minimising oil production at the same time.”
Verdict: “Immediately after, my skin looked brighter. The effect was especially obvious at my under eye area. For a fuss-free 45 minute treatment, this left my complexion with a nice, healthy glow for next two days.”
The TWC Pico Clear Treatment is priced at $650 per session.
